Relax in a beautiful, two bedroom holiday cottage located just a short drive from North Devon’s stunning golden coastline. Springfield Linney in Marwood, Barnstaple is a wonderful dog and family friendly barn conversion accommodating up to four guests in a double and double/twin bedroom. The tastefully decorated cottage is surrounded by tranquil countryside and enjoys panoramic views stretching from Hartland to Crow Point, it also benefits from its own private hot tub and fully enclosed garden.
Living Area
The open plan living area has been beautifully renovated to retain its original character features, including a vaulted ceiling. Newer features to be added to the room are a wonderful wood burning stove ideal for chilly winter evenings, a TV and comfy seating that is suitably placed for admiring the countryside views. Doors also fully open out onto the terrace bringing the countryside setting inside.
Kitchen
The well-equipped kitchen has been finished to a high standard and has everything you will need for enjoying a self-catering holiday in North Devon, such as an electric cooker with hob, a fridge/freezer, a washing machine, a dishwasher and a microwave.
An extendable table to seat four is incorporated within the kitchen area and is perfect for all occasions. A door opens out from the kitchen onto the large terrace where alfresco dinners can be enjoyed.
Bedroom 1 with en-suite
Up a few steps from the living area is the first of two bedrooms. This pretty double with countryside views has a standard double bed and benefits from its own en-suite shower room, which also has a wash-basin and WC.
Bedroom 2 - double/twin
The second bedroom located at the end of the house and enjoying direct access onto the terrace is a handy double/twin with linkable beds allowing it to be set up as either a 5ft double or two 2’6’’ single beds on request.
Family Bathroom
Next door to Bedroom 2 is the family bathroom, which has been fitted with a bath complete with shower overhead, a wash basin and a WC.
Outside
Surrounding the cottage is a good sized garden, which is mainly laid to lawn and therefore ideal for those with a dog or children. The garden is also fully enclosed with fencing separating from the neighbouring fields and a gate opening out onto the car parking area.
A highlight for the cottage is its private hot tub, which enjoys breathtaking views stretching from Crow Point to Hartland. Another great feature of the outdoor area is the main terrace, which has its own lighting and a selection of garden furniture.
